Behrens Chapel Auditorium Update and Naming Opportunities

If you attended Hardin-Simmons any time in the past 60 years, you undoubtedly spent countless hours in, and have many fond memories of, Behrens Chapel Auditorium –  and it matters to you! HSU has an overall goal of raising $8M to renovate Behrens Chapel, with phase one of the renovation costing $1.3M. At present, HSU has raised a little over $1M for the much-needed work in Behrens. Until phase one of the renovation is complete, chapel services are being held in Logsdon Chapel.

Completed in 1961, Behrens Chapel Auditorium has been an integral part of HSU’s mission of education enlightened by Christian faith. For six decades, convocation, chapel, Stampede, ring ceremonies, commencement, and other events have taken place there. It is time to renovate this beloved space to make it usable for the coming decades.

You have the opportunity to help make Behrens Chapel a better, safer, and more comfortable space for future generations. A $300 gift will enable you to be a part of the legacy of Behrens Chapel Auditorium by providing a seat that will speakLIFE to future HSU students, parents, and special guests.
